Delighting in lots of flowers | This wet spring/summer has been so good for my little flower garden!

Having fun with my kiddos. We were able to make a trip to our local amusement park here, Worlds of Fun, a few days ago. This was a huge treat for all of us. Most of the children had never been on a rollercoaster before. We laughed and had so much fun together!

Swimming, Biking and Running | I was able to compete in my 3rd half-IronMan race last month and am seriously considering signing up for a fourth this fall. It makes me happy and that’s enough of a reason for me. I get to train on the most beautiful trails here.

Saying Goodbye to Jake | He left for basic training with the Air Force a few weeks ago. Super-excited for him and all of his new adventures, but also missing him a bunch.

Navigating a ridiculous driving/activity schedule this summer | Each of the children are participating in a wide variety of sports camps and other activities. You should see my Google Calendar! Honestly it’s all good though. I love it that they can each pursue things that they’re interested in. This is what it looks like as we coordinate who has to be where, when. 🙂

Wearing out the neighborhood pool | One works there this summer, the others hang out there, pretty much every day.

Enjoying local parks together | We’ve got some beautiful ones near us.

Resting in my bedroom. | A favorite safe place for me now. A place to write, to study, to think, to regroup and enjoy my treehouse-like view of the park behind us.

That’s some of what we’ve been up to. How’s your summer shaping up?
